Following the odour removal R&D activities focusing on the biological treatment of hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), WEDOTECH advanced into biogas biological desulfurization.

The HBioS_Demo – Industrial demonstration of a biogas biological desulfurization technology, funded by the Norte2020 Operational Program, Portugal 2020 and the European Union through FEDER (Ref. 201/6409) is an R&D project promoted by WEDOTECH in collaboration with EFACEC – Engenharia e Sistemas, S.A. This project aims to validate and demonstrate at industrial scale the application of a biological technology for biogas desulfurization at wastewater treatment plant. This project aims to develop a more effective, sustainable and competitive technology for biogas purification.
