Biofiltration
Biofiltration is an established technology for air pollution control, namely for odour treatment. This is one of the research areas at WEDOTECH, where we develop specific biofiltration media solutions to suit different odour emissions characteristics and processing conditions.
WEDOTECH develops biofiltration media based on raw materials sourced from Portuguese forests, which aim at providing high odour treatment performance. Currently, there are several examples of Portuguese large scale biofilters equipped with WEDOTECH’s biofiltration media, located at wastewater treatment plants and waste management facilities.
