Ruben Jorge, CEO

BSc in Microbiology (ESB-UCP, Porto), PhD in chemical Engineering (Imperial College London), Post-graduation in Prospect and Strategy of Organizations (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Paris). Participated in the COTEC’s CoHiTec programme (2004). Founding partner of SIA (1998), consulting firm  specialized in the areas of Environment, SHE, Quality, R&D&I and Social Responsibility. Founder and CEO of WEDOTECH (2006). IT and R&D&I project management, 3M € funding in national and European projects, consultant in the areas of environmental, food and chemical engineering.

Inês Baptista, Consultant

BEng in Environmental Engineering (ESB-UCP, Porto), PhD in Chemical Engineering (Imperial College London) and Master in Economics and Innovation Management (FEP-UP, Porto). Research Associate in the Separations and Technologies group of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College. Member of the WEDOTECH team since October 2010, where Inês manages R&D&I projects and provides consulting services in the environmental area, namely effluent treatment processes and technologies, with a particular focus on biological treatment processes applied to deodorization. Experienced in technology transfer from the laboratory scale / pilot to industrial scale and in Circular Economy: Valorisation of by-products; Eco-design of processes and products; Energy efficiency.

Teresa Oliveira, Consultant

BEng in Food Engineering (ESB-UCP, Porto) and PhD in Chemical Engineering (Imperial College London). Process Engineer at Halliburton (Oil & Gas Consulting, Leatherhead, UK), working on process and plant evaluation, equipment optimization, and conceptual design. Joined GlaxoSmithKline (GSK Pharmaceuticals, R&D, Stevenage, UK) in 2003, where Teresa led an engineering team responsible for process development and optimization, scaling-up and technology transfer. Worked in the environmental area in the control of emissions, recovery of substances and deposition of effluents. Lead engineer in several late phase projects and a member of an interdisciplinary sustainability team. Teresa has been part of WEDOTECH since March 2011, where she manages R&D&I projects and provides technical consulting services in chemical and food engineering. Teresa’s experience in the area of ​​Circular Economics has been demonstrated throughout the professional career, in particular: minimization of waste and effluents; recovery of solvents; valorisation of by-products; eco-design and eco-efficiency of processes and products.
